Roxanne – New release from Carsten Lindholm Trio

Roxanne is a cover of the famous song by Police.
The arrangement is a mixture of nordic minimalistic expression and rhythmic odd meters.

Due to travel restrictions the single was recorded live at The Village Studio in Vanlose/Danmark, Bodoe/Norway and Brussels /Belgium. It features Reggie Washington on bass and Jan Gunnar Hoff on Piano.

It comes with a visuals video by Tim Harris who is an amazing sound engineer and video photographer.

The song will be released as single on Gateway Music later this year.

Carsten Lindholm Trio back at festival Les Boréales

Cultural festival (literature, theater, concerts, dance, circus, cinema, exhibitions). Les Boréales is a festival dedicated to Nordic culture. It takes place every year in November in Caen and Normandy.

It is with great pleasure that Carsten returns with his trio, as a representative for Danish music. This time with Jan Gunnar Hoff on piano and Reggie Washington on bass.

Last time the trio* played at the festival was in 2018, also at Théâtre de Caen. At the time, the welcome from both the organizers, the city and the audience was overwhelmingly positive.

Carsten Lindholm trio will be playing a new repetoire, which is a mix of covers of Carstens favourite pop songs and own compositions. All with the Nordic jazz vibe and indian rhytmics that Carsten is known for, and played with empathy and a huge expression by the trio.

Carsten Lindholm live at Worms, Jazz & Joy 2021

Having electrified a large audience for more than twenty years, the open-air music festival “Worms: Jazz & Joy” was definitely one of the highlights in Carsten Lindholms calendar this year. Not being able to perform with his trio for a long time, the honour of being among the “Private Selection” artists of the festival was a huge experience.

Together with saxophonist Kerstin Harberecht, pianist and keyboardist Roman Schuler and bass player Gernot Kögel – Carsten enjoyed the Sunday concert 22nd August in front of a great audience. With almost 3,000 visitors during the weekend – the opportunity to finally experience open-air live music again was evident.

From Carsten Lindholm a big thank you to the musicians, the audience, artistic director dr. David Maier, jazz musician Thomas Siffling and all the staff involved in and around the festival.

SUNDAY // 22.08.2021 // 15:30 // SCHLOSSPLATZ – PRÄSENTIERT VON DER WORMSER ZEITUNG

It’s with great pleasure we announce that Carsten Lindholm has been invited to perform at the festival this year.

It should of course not be missing from the anniversary edition of the festival - we're talking about the “Jazz & Joy: Private Selection”. Dr. David Maier, artistic director of the festival, and the well-known jazz musician Thomas Siffling came into being. Every year other musicians are invited, who then perform together in an unprecedented constellation.

This year you can look forward to the Danish drummer, composer and producer Carsten Lindholm, saxophonist Kerstin Haberecht, pianist and keyboardist Roman Schuler and bassist and guitarist Gernot Kögel!
