Afrindian

Newest live studio video “Afrindian” from the Indispiration album now on YouTube.
About “Afrindian” Carsten tells us, that it is written and played in African inspired 6/8. The African 6/8 is combined with the Indian scales on Harmonium and focus is to give the Piano trio a dynamic expression.
If you already now the album and have listened to it you will notice, that on the album version there is no Harmonium but instead a flowing trumpet from German Thomas Siffling.

It is always nice to see your concerts mentioned in high profiled magazines – and so we are happy to share, that this week a photo reportage from the concert in Caén 24th November has found its way to Citizen Jazz.
We thank Gérard Boisnel for the beautiful pictures and A. Lambert for the article – and of course, Citizen Jazz for bringing it.

Caen’s teaters foyer, 24. november 2018.

The foyers of the theater of Caen, November 24, 2018.
The piano virtuoso and melodic Mathias Grove Madsen, the electric bass and swaying Kristor Brødsgaard, and the drowsy drums Carsten Lindholm, from Scandinavia for the Boréales, the Caen festival of northern cultures. The latter offers us, with his trio, a North jazz sometimes mixed with complex rhythms learned from Indian drummers, a rich and rich interbreeding between Orient and Septentrion.

Carsten Lindholm welcomes 2019 with new live video out – and a promising review of “Indispiration”

Live video “JG” is now on YouTube. “JG” is inspired by Jan Gabarek the Norwegian Saxophonist and his ability to use simplicity yet strong expressions in his melodies.

JG performed by Jan Gunnar Hoff, Kristor Broedsskov, Mark Lorenzen and Carsten Lindholm.

Also, “Indispiration” has found its way to Corsica listeners and a review at www.rythmncorsica has been posted online. Check it out – and while there, perhaps read some of the other interesting articles on rock, jazz ans blues!
