Udkommer 22. maj 2025.

English version:

Release date 22nd May 2025.

Danish drummer Carsten Lindholm releases his second single 24 Hours from his upcoming album Thankful.

The track is composed by legendary German drummer Wolfgang Haffner, and arranged by Carsten Lindholm. The track features Mathias Grove on piano, Kasper Tagel on double bass – and Carsten himself on drums.

Pre-save!

Carsten is thrilled that Wolfgang Haffner has given him permission to arrange and record this song, as he considers Haffner both a good friend – but also a huge inspiration as a composer and drummer.

Haffner, like Carsten Lindholm himself, focuses on the melody, and you can clearly hear the inspiration from Nordic jazz in many of his songs, which Carsten here passes on in the best way.

Carsten Lindholm himself is known for his compositions within Nordic jazz, with Indian rhythms – and his equilibrist drumming.

The music can be experienced live at Dexter in Odense 22nd May 2025 where Carsten Lindholm Trio will be playing songs from the upcoming album “Thankful”.

New single “Spring Cruise” out 31st May 2019

In connection with Carsten Lindholm Trio’s concert at Elbjazz 2019 in Hamburg, the new single “Spring Cruise” will be released.
The number is a pre-taste of Carsten Lindholm’s forthcoming 4th album, and seduces us with a sense of spring and positivity.
Spring Cruise is played mostly in Major Key and the responsive listener will perhaps notice the konnakol inspired bass playing under the beautiful piano solo.

Enjoy!

Afrindian

Newest live studio video “Afrindian” from the Indispiration album now on YouTube.
About “Afrindian” Carsten tells us, that it is written and played in African inspired 6/8. The African 6/8 is combined with the Indian scales on Harmonium and focus is to give the Piano trio a dynamic expression.
If you already now the album and have listened to it you will notice, that on the album version there is no Harmonium but instead a flowing trumpet from German Thomas Siffling.
