New single “Spring Cruise” out 31st May 2019

In connection with Carsten Lindholm Trio’s concert at Elbjazz 2019 in Hamburg, the new single “Spring Cruise” will be released.
The number is a pre-taste of Carsten Lindholm’s forthcoming 4th album, and seduces us with a sense of spring and positivity.
Spring Cruise is played mostly in Major Key and the responsive listener will perhaps notice the konnakol inspired bass playing under the beautiful piano solo.

Enjoy!

Elbjazz 2019

Carsten Lindholm Trio is very excited to play at Elbjazz this year. The concert will take place at St. Katharinen Church Friday 31st May at 9pm – and Carsten finds it to be a dream location for the trio.

The trio that consists of Jan Gunnar Hoff (Piano), Kristor Brodsgaard (bass) and Carsten Lindholm (drums) will be playing songs from Carsten Lindholm’s latest album “Indispiration”. Further more, the audience will have the opportunity to hear some new songs from the upcoming album, including the song “Spring Cruise” that will be released as single on the day of the concert. As Carsten Lindholms upcoming album is a mix of own compositions and interpretations of known pop-songs, if given time, audience might even get a taste or two of these.

The music will be played mostly in major key, and the Trio hopes to give the audience a positive vibe and a feeling of inner peace to take along with them.

We look forward to seeing you.

Afrindian

Newest live studio video “Afrindian” from the Indispiration album now on YouTube.
About “Afrindian” Carsten tells us, that it is written and played in African inspired 6/8. The African 6/8 is combined with the Indian scales on Harmonium and focus is to give the Piano trio a dynamic expression.
If you already now the album and have listened to it you will notice, that on the album version there is no Harmonium but instead a flowing trumpet from German Thomas Siffling.
